🏨 Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology LUT
📅 16-18 September 2025
The European Community on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences (ECCOMAS) organizes a thematic international conference dedicated to evolutionary and deterministic computing for industrial applications.
Global experts from cross-cutting fields will meet for three days in Lahti, Finland, in September 2025, hosted by LUT University, to discuss the latest trends in optimization techniques, including evolutionary algorithms, multi-objective optimization, and other advanced methods.
The CIMNE Congress Bureau leads the Conference Secretariat for the event, which has its origins in the INGENET European Thematic Network (1998-2000) on genetic algorithms.
The program will feature a combination of plenary sessions, mini-symposia and roundtable discussions. Confirmed plenary speakers are:
Dr. Cornelia Grabe, German Aerospace Center DLR, Germany
Prof. David Greiner, University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain
Prof. Rainald Löhner, George Mason University, USA
Prof. Marko Mäkelä, University of Turku, Finland
Dr. W. J. Vankan, Netherlands Aerospace Centre, Netherlands
Attendants are invited to submit their proposals for Mini-Symposia (MS) and Special Technology Sessions (STS), as well as individual contributing papers by February 28, 2025, using the official event website.
A Mini-Symposium (MS) or a Special Technology Session (STS) encompasses one or more of the conference's topics (refer to the full list). An MS is dedicated to exploring new methods and tools with a focus on research and development. Meanwhile, an STS highlights innovative technologies with practical applications in industry and society. The organizers of an MS or STS will be responsible for selecting the papers to be presented in their session.
Some conference topics include (but are not limited to): Aeronautical Aerospace and Space Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Bioengineering and Biomedical Sciences, Civil and Structural Engineering, Economics and Finance, Energy, Environment and Climate, Material Science and Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robust Design & Reliability Based Design Optimization.
